A place made for childhood.

VLC’s home in Gulberg has been designed around the many ways children spend their day: learning, making, moving, reading, talking, imagining, investigating and being together.

The spaces children grow up in matter.

A school environment quietly shapes what children are able to do within it.

Can they find a book and settle somewhere to read?

Can they work alongside someone else?

Can they move when their bodies need to move?

Can they encounter materials and decide what to do with them?

Can they take an idea outside?

Can they find somewhere quiet when they need it?

At VLC Lahore, the campus has been considered as part of the educational experience itself, with spaces that invite children to participate rather than simply occupy them.

Because where children learn changes how learning can feel.

Outdoor learning at VLC

Step outside.

The garden is at the heart of everyday life at VLC Lahore.

There is room to run and room to slow down. To notice what's growing. Follow an insect. Dig into soil. Gather under a tree. Invent a game. Sit with a book. Make something messy. Or discover something nobody planned for that morning.

For children, being outdoors creates possibilities for movement, wellbeing, observation, imagination and discovery that are difficult to reproduce inside four walls.

And because the garden is part of the children's everyday environment, nature isn't something they only learn about.

It's something they get to know.

Different spaces for different kinds of days.

A school day asks children to do many different things.

Sometimes they need to gather together.

Sometimes they need to concentrate.

Sometimes they need a table covered in materials and permission to make a mess.

Sometimes they need books, conversation, movement or simply a little more space.

The learning environments at VLC are designed to respond to those different moments.

A CAMPUS CHILDREN CAN USE

Designed at their level.

Children experience spaces differently from adults.

A shelf they can reach invites independence.

Materials they can see invite decisions.

A place to put something back teaches responsibility.

An environment they know how to navigate begins to feel like theirs.

Throughout VLC Lahore, we want children to become increasingly capable of using their environment for themselves rather than waiting for an adult to manage every part of their day.

The space belongs to the children who learn in it.

Children and educators at VLC

The campus doesn't empty out when school ends.

We want VLC Lahore to become a place children and families recognise as part of their wider community.

So the campus also opens its doors for experiences that bring people together: a morning of yoga in the garden, a Farmers Market filled with local makers, an Open House, a workshop, a conversation or simply another reason for families to spend time together.

Some happen once.

Others may become traditions.

All of them give people another way to meet.

Because a school can create community beyond the school day.
