Stage 02

Where curiosity becomes inquiry and play grows into purpose

Grades 1-5

Grades 1–5 are a time when children begin to ask more complex questions and stay with them for longer. Curiosity becomes inquiry. Creativity becomes craft. Community becomes something children actively participate in.

Science & Stories

Children explore the natural world and human experience together, looking for patterns, testing ideas and using stories to make meaning.

Elementary at Veritas Learning Circle

Technology as an Enabler

Technology is used with intention — to create, research, communicate and solve problems — without replacing books, relationships, physical materials or hands-on discovery.

Art as a Way of Life

Creative expression is part of everyday learning. Children make, move, design, cook, build and reflect, learning to value process as much as product.

Early Years at Veritas Learning Circle

Math, Music, Movement & Mindfulness

Analytical thinking and wellbeing grow together. Reasoning sits alongside rhythm, movement and practices that develop focus and self-awareness.

Play in Purposeful Forms

As children grow, play evolves rather than disappears. It becomes collaborative problem-solving, design challenges, engineering, experimentation and joyful exploration.

Inquiry-Oriented Learning

Children are encouraged to pose questions, investigate possibilities and construct understanding rather than simply receive answers.

Interdisciplinary Study

The real world does not arrive divided into subjects. Through projects and design challenges, students connect ideas and approach problems from different perspectives.

What We Are Growing

Curious Scholars — eager to ask, reflect and explore.

Creative Makers — able to turn imagination into something tangible.

Courageous Learners — willing to experiment, make mistakes and grow from them.
